Wilton carpet generally refers to the interweaving of three types of yarn: warp, weft, and pile yarn, followed by finishing processes such as gluing and plain fiber treatment.

Wilton carpets are divided into two categories:

(1) Single-sided Wilton carpet: This type has excellent appearance retention and a stable shape, making it very suitable for use in aircraft that require extremely high flame retardant performance. Additionally, this carpet is ideal for high-end yachts, passenger ships, and luxury hotels. Some are also used as car mats.

(2) Double-layer Wilton carpet: This type of machine originated in Belgium. Its characteristics include a full fabric, tight structure, and heavy pile yarn per square meter. This loom produces a double-layer fabric, which results in relatively fast production efficiency.

Reputable manufacturers will use single and double numbers to distinguish between carpets upon leaving the factory. Pay attention to the carpet number when laying the upper and lower layers.
